HGV DRIVER CPC TRAINING
Here at 365 we aim to offer the highest standard of training for you or your drivers.
The law starts midnight of the 9th September 2009, this is called driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence). This is the biggest shake up in the transport industry since the HGV licence.
Anybody wishing to drive professionally for a living and drives anything over 3.5 tonne and over 45kph will have take 35 hours of training over a 5 year period, although this can be broke down into 5 sessions over 5 years, that would equate to 7 hours in one full day, that’s 1 day per year for 5 years. This is called periodic training, after each initial day attended the driver would receive a certificate of attendance, and entered onto the DSA's database. After the full 5 years attended the driver will receive a DQC (Driver Qualification Card) then the whole process starts again.
